Atlas Weyhausen GmbH was created from the former company named by it founder Hinrich Weyhausen KG. Atlas Weyhausen produced since the 1960 ´s hydraulic excavators and in 1971 started their produccion for wheel loaders, backhoe loaders and other industrial products.
In 1999, Atlas Weyhausen was sold due to financial difficulties to Eder Handel und Beteiligungen GmbH and later in 2002 got absorbed by the Terex Group. Since then, Atlas Machinery is being comercialized as Terex-Atlas Equipment.
